Where do I begin? I guess if you are randomly reading this blog and don't know us, I should start with an introduction.
We are the Long family of Portland, OR. We have a beautiful, smart, talented and funny 3 1/2 year old named Easton. He would really like a sibling. I really don't ever want to be pregnant again. You see, pregnancy and I are not friends. Not even a little. Being pregnant with Easton was the worst! But, luckily, he has turned out being the best thing ever. That being said, I still don't want to be pregnant...ever.
So after some discussion, Tyler and I have decided to look into adoption. One problem. We have debt. It's not a lot, mind you, but it is enough that we don't feel comfortable having another child along with it.
So I guess the point of this blog is to record our adventure in paying off debt in order to start the adoption process and then starting the adoption process. Should be full of excitement!
A couple disclaimers....
1. I'm not a writer. There will be grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm going to own up to that now. So if you are expecting some perfectly written masterpiece, you are in the wrong place.
2. Updates might slow and then speed back up. I am a busy mom and full time hair dresser. Also, because this plan is still in early infancy, things will stall. Sorry if that bores you.
3. This will probably get intense. I can be emotional. I have no problem writing my true feelings for all to see. Be prepared. Or don't.
I hope you read and like what you read. I am hoping that this will help us (mostly me) in starting to spend money more wisely, get the debt down, and start the adoption process with the state. Encouraging comments are welcome and helpful!
